The singularity has already started. AGI isn't a moment, it's a movement.
Not tomorrow. Not in 6 months. Now.
Want proof?
Developers are being outpaced by their own tools. Creatives are watching their jobs get automated. Analysts are being outcompeted by 3-line prompts.
Even those building AI are struggling to control it. And yet, we carry on as if nothing has changed. We talk about AGI as a theoretical concept. But it's no longer an idea. It's a bulldozer.
It's demolishing everything in its path
- Legacy business models
- Obsolete value chains
- The false security of diplomas
- SaaS margins that were "impossible to break"
- The certainties of experts who haven't opened a notebook since 2019
And while all of this crumbles, a minority is moving forward. Not because they're smarter. But because they're faster. Because they test. Learn. Iterate. Every day. People say it's not AI that will replace you, but someone who uses it.
That's still too kind
AI will crush those who learn slowly. Who refuse to experiment. Who wait until they've "understood everything" before acting. Who consume instead of building.
But there's a window. Short. Unstable. Unique. If you want to seize it, remember one thing: The speed of learning is the only barrier to obsolescence. You don't need to be an expert.
What you need
- Test 2 tools per week
- Understand 5% of Python
- Know when AI is useful (and when it isn't)
- Become obsessed with continuous improvement
- And above all: don't wait for permission.
Those who win aren't those who ask. They're those who act.
Become a Cyborg, half-human half-AI. This isn't a preference. It's a necessity.
P.S.: "The Italian Cyborg" is already taken, that's my alias. P.P.S: Long version in The Italian Cyborg's Journal:
